Vehicle Description We don't have to mention that this 1976 Chevrolet Corvette Pro Street has been given big investments over the factory performance setup.
After all, that big air scoop with a supercharger underneath instantly commands all your attention.
But while you already know this is a street-eating powerful machine, the total investment in this coupe shows there was plenty of extra thought and comfort that make it all-around awesome.
We'll get to the details on the big power motor in a moment, but first, it's worth mentioning the quality that surrounds it.
The Bright Yellow is the factory color, but this one goes for a touch of added vibrancy while still staying in the Corvette family with the modern Velocity Yellow.
It's part of a comprehensive restoration/transformation that's so fresh that there's less than 50 miles on the full build.
It has the kind of bold style that tells you this car has the kind of quality that's happy to attract extra attention.
The deep gloss is ready to show off this Stingray's distinct lines and there's a ton of them.
You have the factory pieces, like the sharply pointed front end and the crisp fender tops.
This combines with plenty of extra flare in the fenders and an extra-large full-width rear spoiler.
These later years of the C3 had a cleaner design free from ornamentation, but there's still some brightwork in this one.
It's used to draw attention to places like that awesome set of Billet Specialties racing wheels with the extra-wide set in the rear.
And these wheels even have a hint of black to go with the motor.
The color-matched T-tops look quite stylish when in place, and it only gets better when you open this car up to the world.
The full black interior has a nice performance look that includes a fresh look and feel to the carpeting, dash, and door panels.
The seats are particularly nice because they have modern comfort.
They're borrowed from a C6 Corvette, and the yellow contrast stitching to the supple black leathery is a stylish luxury touch.
You also have some worthwhile features like an AM/FM/CD stereo with USB input, power windows, a tilt steering column, and provisions for R134a air conditioning (it will need servicing/repair before blowing cold again.
) But it's not exactly the luxury that first catches your eye.
This announces it's a true performance machine with the six-point safety cage with handy swing-out door bars.
And the TCI Outlaw shifter, RaceQuip five-point harnesses, and aggressive red glow of the Dakota Digital VHX gauge package are all part of a competition-worthy machine.
The power this one makes is so big that the hood can't contain it.
There was a ton invested in giving this motor a show-worthy polished presentation, because after all, you know everyone's got to ask you to lift the custom hood everywhere you park this Stingray.
And the glossy black components look terrific against the exterior yellow.
The awesome power package starts with dual ADE Performance four-barrel carburetors that feeds the BDS 871 blower.
It sits on top of a 434 cubic-inch small block, and that means big block displacement in a small block weight.
The motor is a professional build by Nelson Competition.
So this V8 has been enhanced and fortified with Diamond pistons, a Callies Magnum crank, Oliver rods, a Crowder camshaft, Crowder lifters, and AFR 245cc heads.
This also has the right supporting components, like an MSD ignition, Powermaster starter, AGM battery, and aluminum radiator with electric fans.
Kooks headers feed a custom dual exhaust with Borla mufflers.
So this big power coupe knows how to announce its muscle.
And when you have this much power in an American muscle machine, you expect it to be a wild child.
But since this is a Corvette, you get great features like the fully independent suspension, but now it's an upgraded hardy Van Steel adjustable setup.
There's also a stout TH400 three-speed automatic transmission built for big power and a stall.
And you have Wilwood four-wheel power disc brakes, power steering, and wide Mickey Thompson tires to bring the power to the pavement.
So this is one high horsepower classic that's easy to control.
This is the one with speed and stance.
So when a build is this fresh, unique, and mean, you know you need to hurry to grab this deal.
